Vaccination against COVID-19 among rock and metal idols has become a cause for celebration for fans on social media. While some musicians, like Stephen Carpenter of Deftones , deny the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing disease, others share their receipt of COVID-19 vaccine doses with the public through social media posts.

Rob Halford (Judas Priest)

At 69 years old, the Judas Priest vocalist received his second dose of the vaccine at the end of March. Halford lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and posted a photo showing off his vaccination certificate .

David Coverdale (Whitesnake)
Also at 69 years old, Coverdale received his first dose on March 17th and is now awaiting the second stage of the vaccination process. The vocalist thanked the professionals involved on social media: “What an INCREDIBLE operation!”, he wrote.

Paul Stanley (Kiss)
The Kiss vocalist completed the vaccination process back in February of this year, less than a month after turning 69. “I’m so grateful and EXCITED, let’s ALL stay as safe as possible and continue to look out for each other,” he posted on social media.

Rita Lee,
a resident of São Paulo, received her first dose of the vaccine last Friday, the 19th, at a drive-thru vaccination site. At 73 years old, the singer posted a video of the moment on social media. “Go away, Corona. Go away, deniers. #vaccinatenow,” she wrote. Her immunization is now complete.

Alice Cooper
got vaccinated at the beginning of February and took the opportunity to encourage more people to do the same. "Everyone here has been very nice and you feel safe," said the 73-year-old musician.

Sammy Hagar:
After controversial statements about resuming shows before vaccination, Sammy Hagar joins the ranks of rock stars who have already received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. In early March, the former Van Halen posted a video receiving his second dose. "I want to get back to doing live shows, traveling the world without putting anyone at risk, my family, my friends and myself included," he wrote in the caption.

Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith)
The Aerosmith bassist is 69 years old and said he felt "invincible" after receiving his second dose of the Moderna vaccine.

Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath)
Despite being concerned about the supposed side effects of the vaccine propagated by "conspiracy theories," Ozzy is more afraid of the virus itself. The singer received his first dose of the vaccine in the second week of February.

Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)
Shortly after Ozzy, Butler took to social media to proudly announce that he had received his second dose of the vaccine – and was already dreaming of traveling to England as soon as possible!

Max Cavalera (Go Ahead and Die)
Don't worry, the 51-year-old Brazilian didn't cut in line! Cavalera, formerly of Sepultura , has already been vaccinated because he lives in the United States . "We are many and we are strong," wrote the musician's wife when sharing a photo of the moment he received the vaccine.

Sebastian Bach,
Skid Row vocalist, has been fully immunized for several weeks now! Sebastian Bach's wife also received the vaccine, and the musician encouraged all rock fans to do the same. "Get vaccinated and have proof of vaccination so we can get the show back on the road," he wrote on social media, posting a video of the process .

Rafael Bittencourt (Angra)
The Angra guitarist defended vaccination with any available option after receiving his first dose on June 23. “Forgive me, pseudo-scientists on the internet, but it’s not time to choose the vaccine. Do your part, get vaccinated,” he wrote.

Andreas Kisser (Sepultura)
With a message wishing "health to everyone!", guitarist Andreas Kisser posted two photos to record his first dose of the COVID vaccine at the end of June.
