The original Black Sabbath reunited last Saturday morning, June 28th, in Birmingham, and posted their first photo together since the band's breakup in 2011. The band is rehearsing for their farewell show, which will take place on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK.
Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne , bassist Geezer Butler , guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward reunited in a mural located on Navigation Street, created by artist Daniel Russell-Ahern , which depicts the four original members of the band.
The four original members signed the mural and took several other photos together . Tony Iommi posted on his social media: “We made the trip to the mural. Only one week to go until Back To The Beginning: Ozzy's Final Bow . Mr. Murals has been busy! Very flattered to be honored in such a creative way, thank you, Birmingham!”
Black Sabbath's last show
Titled " Back To The Beginning ," Black Sabbath's final show will reunite the band's four original members to play for the first and last time in 20 years. In addition to Black Sabbath, the festival lineup features rock and metal giants such as Metallica , Guns N' Roses , Tool , Slayer , Alice In Chains , Pantera , Gojira , Halestorm , Lamb of God , Anthrax , Mastodon , Rival Sons , and other bands already confirmed.
The proceeds from the event will be split equally between the charities Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice.
Tickets for the show sold out quickly after the announcement in February; however, the band confirmed a live stream of the event. Tickets for the streaming are now on sale .
