Last Sunday, June 16th, the band Black Pantera performed at Hashtag Bar . They presented the fourth show of their tour launching their recent album, Perpétuo . The band, composed of Charles da Gama , Charne da Gama , and Rodrigo Pancho , made the city even hotter by mixing their already established hits with songs from the new album.

The night began and ended with local bands Inanimalia and Módulo Lunar. The trio from Uberaba, quite friendly, chatted with the audience and signed merchandise before starting to play. The band, which mixes various styles—rock, punk, hardcore, funk, and metal—also drew a crowd of varying ages.

The first song had barely started when a mosh pit had already formed in front of the stage. It continued for almost the entire show, but was particularly lively during some songs, like "Mosha." During one of them, the musicians invited only the women to the front so they could more easily enjoy the traditional metal show mosh pit.

In this latest album, the band continues its activism, always addressing political issues and taking a stand even on controversial matters. During the track "SEM ANISTIA" (Without Amnesty), which talks about the attempted coup in 2023, the band took the opportunity to declare its total disagreement with Bill 1904/2024, which equates abortion to homicide.

When the emotional song "TRADUÇÃO" began, the band asked the audience to turn on their cell phone flashlights and come closer. Despite it being a song different from their usual repertoire, everyone sang along to the beautiful and powerful tribute to Charles and Chaene's mother.

Always taking a stand against racism and fascism, before starting the song "Fogo nos Racistas" (Fire on the Racists), they sang a verse from a Djonga that uses the same expression. In "FUDEU" (FUCKED UP), they describe a racist approach by the police, with a sound full of groove and several references to Black music.

The show ended, leaving the audience wanting more, but the band promised to return to the city soon. Black Pantera continues to blend diverse influences in their socially conscious albums, captivating everyone present during their live performances. Nothing like a heavy show to end a typical Sunday in the countryside.
