Confirmed act for Rock In Rio , Black Pantera released this Friday, the 18th, the second single from the band's new album, called "Fogo Nos Racistas" (Fire on the Racists), which arrived with an incendiary music video and a denunciation of the structural racism of society.
Right from the start, the trio from Minas Gerais leaves no room for questioning the song's content, and they include a quote from Malcolm X , a symbol of the American Black Power movement, at the beginning of the video: "Don't confuse the reaction of the oppressed with the violence of the oppressor."
In the video, the band burns a mannequin dressed in the robes of the odious Ku Klux Klan, an American white supremacist movement responsible for the persecution and murder of Black people since the 19th century. There are still adherents to this hate group around the world.
The song "Fogo Nos Racistas" is part of the album Ascensão , the third album by the hardcore band, with a confirmed release date of 2022.
