Black Pantera won the "Best Artist" award in the Rock category last Wednesday, the 10th, during the 33rd edition of the Brazilian Music Awards, held at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.
The trio from Minas Gerais, playing crossover thrash and metal – who had already won the category in 2025 – competed against big names in Brazilian rock – such as Fresno, Terno Rei, Mateus Fazeno Rock , and Selvagens à Procura de Lei.
“This victory isn’t just ours, it belongs to the underground, to the people who have contributed and always contribute, who cheer us on, pray for us, and strengthen us. This victory belongs to our Ancestry, which screams out everything we’ve been singing about. Another year winning the Brazilian Music Award in the Rock category. In addition to the Best Artist award, Black Pantera was also nominated in the "Best Rock Release" category with the song "Seleção Natural," however, the trophy went to Terno Rei for the song "Nenhuma Estrela." [via g1]
