Black Pantera has just released another music video from their latest album, Perpétuo . This time, the chosen track is the one that shares the album's name. As with previous videos, the video was directed by Carol Borges of Quasque Filmes, a production company from her hometown of Uberaba. Watch the video at the end of this article.
The music video, filmed in their city, features numerous references to the rich Black culture, such as maculelê, capoeira, umbanda, and candomblé. In this way, the lyrics, which pay homage to the legacy of the African diaspora, attempt to be translated into images in the video.
The refrain “Everyone Was Black Once” served as the main inspiration for the recording. According to bassist Chaene da Gama , the music video “perfectly translates what the song wants to say; it’s the title track, very important on the album, and we are extremely happy with the result.”
Black Pantera begins selling vinyl copies of Perpetual.
On August 20th, the vinyl version of the album Perpétuo went on sale. For now, it's only available through the band's channels, but it should be arriving in stores soon.
