Black Pantera releases new empowering song “Cola”

During Black History Month, the band from Minas Gerais releases a song to celebrate Black leaders

The Uberaba-based band Black Pantera has released their new song "Cola." The release is part of the Black Consciousness Month celebrations. In addition, the band also released the music video for the song "CANDEIA" from their latest album, PERPÉTUO, . Both the new song and the album continue to address themes such as anti-racism, belonging, and celebrating Black culture.

The main objective of the song is to remember the great leaders of the Black movement and foster the empowerment of the current generation. "The idea is to bring courage and unity to combat racism and honor some fundamental figures in the anti-racist struggle, such as Malcolm X, the Black Panthers, Dandara, Zumbi, and others," said Charles da Gama.

Black Pantera and the album PERPETUAL

With each new release, the band Black Pantera wins over new fans. This time, with the album PERPÉTUO , it was no different. The band mixes hardcore, punk, metal, and a lot of groove combined with socially conscious and anti-racist lyrics. So much so that this year, in the ENEM exam (Brazilian National High School Exam), the band's songs were cited by several students since the essay topic was the anti-racist struggle.

The band, considered one of the biggest in the genre in Brazil today, is touring their album PERPÉTUO. In addition, they have played numerous solo shows, including Rock in Rio, Knotfest, and opening for Living Colour, Sepultura, Sleaford Mods, and others across Brazil. And they already have several more shows scheduled for 2025.

Next Friday, the band will once again open for Sepultura's farewell show, this time in Ribeirão Preto. In August, they cancelled their show while Black Pantera was doing soundcheck, due to the intense wildfires that occurred in the region.
