The supergroup's latest work was released in September
Black Country Communion plans to return to the studio in January 2019, according to drummer Jason Bonham . The supergroup, formed by Glenn Hughes ( Deep Purple , Trapeze ), Derek Sherinian ( Dream Theater , Alice Cooper ) and Joe Bonamassa , released their latest work, BCCIV , in September of last year.
During an interview for the Iron City Rocks , Bonham revealed that there are talks about returning to the studio and going on tour soon. "They really like to plan ahead. We're already discussing our schedules."
Like its predecessors, BCCIV was produced by Kevin Shirley , who has Led Zeppelin , Iron Maiden , Aerosmith , and Journey in his portfolio and is considered the "fifth member" of the group, as he was largely responsible for bringing the musicians together. In 2009, he spoke with Hughes and Bonamassa and presented the idea of creating a supergroup.
