Black Circle , a band from Rio de Janeiro that gained international recognition as Pearl Jam tribute band , admired and recognized by Eddie Vedder , has just released the powerful ballad "Puzzle," the second single from their new album, which will be available on streaming services in October.

“Puzzle” portrays the natural difficulty some have in believing in genuine feelings. The fear and even the comical aspect of believing in “forever” can be a reflection of past hurts and disappointments. Despite the harsh theme, the message is positive and approached poetically, both in the lyrics and the melody.

Regarding the single's theme, Black Circle comments: "In times when everyone is independent and nobody needs anyone, genuine romantic love loses ground and, consequently, becomes unbelievable.".

The first single from this new phase of Black Circle, released in early September, was “Indigo Child,” a song that blends grunge with 2000s rock to discuss, from both an esoteric and scientific perspective, Indigo children and people. Listen here.

All of Black Circle's new compositions were recorded and mixed at Overloud studio in Rio de Janeiro by the band's guitarist, Sergio Filho . Filho also shares production duties on the songs with the other guitarist, Luiz Caetano.

About Black Circle

The year is 2020, and during the most uncertain period our generation has ever experienced, a Brazilian band caught the attention of the rock world by having none other than Eddie Vedder himself posting a photo on social media with his family, all dressed in Black Circle shirts and caps.

The quintet from Rio de Janeiro gained national and international media attention after being discovered and recognized by the greatest living representative of the grunge movement.

During the pandemic, Black Circle held 25 live streams, all lasting more than 3 hours, helping fans of the 90s generation to have a moment of escape and fun.

During several of these live streams, Eddie and his wife Jill appeared in the comments and interacted with the fans present, creating unique moments in everyone's lives, and later culminating in an invitation for Black Circle to open for a benefit live stream hosted by Eddie Vedder himself, an event that featured names like Adam Sandler , Adam Levine , Billie Eilish , Willie Nelson , Bradley Cooper , Jimmy Kimmel , David Letterman and other stars.

In addition to their internet success, Black Circle starred in the show Como Nossos Ídolos , broadcast by Globosat on Canal BIS, and also launched their solo career in 2020 with the release of their first album, Mercury , and, at the end of 2021, the sequel, Pandora . A highlight is the track "Drive Home In The Rain," which was cited as Eddie Vedder's favorite.

Back on stage, the band has already performed in several Brazilian states and will also be giving its first pair of shows abroad in 2022, with two dates in Lima, Peru.
