Joseph McGinty Nichol , known in the film world as McG , is in final negotiations to direct the highly anticipated Kiss , Shout It Out Loud Charlie's Angels films Babysitter horror franchise , the director also has a long history with music, having directed classic music videos such as "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" by The Offspring and " All Star" by Smash Mouth .
Production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2025, and casting is already underway. In an interview with Download Festival about this, Kiss frontman Paul Stanley offered some insight. “I’ll tell you one thing: for the cast to be age-accurate, we’re looking at actors in their 20s. Honestly, I don’t know many actors in that age range […] but as the casting process progresses, I’ll certainly be there and watching. It will be interesting to see how someone else – whether it’s the casting people or the director – sees who I am and who they see doing this. I think I’ll learn a lot about their perception of me through who they cast,” he stated.
The most recent screenplay for the film was written by Darren Lemke , director of Shazam!. However, although Stanley's dialogue suggests it's set in the band's early days – when the members were in their 20s – there are still no official details about when the film will be set.
