Billie Joe Armstrong and the manufacturer Gibson have joined forces once again to recreate the famous Les Paul , which costs $2,199 (approximately R$11,600). The so-called Armstrong Les Paul Junior is a replica of the 1950 model that the musician uses for performances.

“The Les Paul Junior from the 50s has been the root of my guitar tone for over 20 years. Ever since I bought Floyd , my Sunburst Junior , in the early 2000s, I’ve been hooked. It’s a simple, raw, powerful guitar that has a sound that just can’t be beaten! Plug it straight into any tube amp, kick it up and it will roar!”, revealed the Green Day (via NME ).

The instrument is available in silver and black and comes with a custom pink case with a leopard print interior. The Armstrong Les Paul Junior can be purchased on the manufacturer's website .

The latest guitar differs from the 2018 model primarily in terms of sound. The edition aimed at punk rock musicians now features a P-90 DC Dogear pickup, which eliminates any noise.

Gibson is well known for having worked with names like Gene Simmons , Dave Mustaine , Lzzy Hale , and more.
