Bill Ward , the legendary drummer who was part of the original Black Sabbath , shared a message on his social media addressed to Nicko McBrain , who recently retired from touring with Iron Maiden but remains an official member of the band. Nicko played his last show on December 7th in São Paulo.

In the message, Ward wishes Nicko a safe journey as he retires to explore new horizons. He also praises how Iron Maiden handled the situation, saying he finds it "very respectful and dignified" that McBrain still has his "drum chair" available for potential new band recordings.

For some fans, this excerpt sounded like a veiled jab at his former Sabbath bandmates, with whom Bill had several issues over the years, including being left out of the band's farewell tour.
