10. Dead Cross, 'Dead Cross' (2017): “I bought this album three weeks ago and it’s killer. They’re using sound effects. And of course, I really like Dave Lombardo’s drumming.”

9. DevilDriver, 'Beast' (2011): “It has some incredible melodies, some really good melodic elements, and these guys sing with multiple voices, they create harmonies. The final product is very good, very good to listen to.”

8. Fear Factory, 'Mechanize' (2010): “The reason I chose this particular album is because I like the song “Christploitation”. It’s one of my favorite songs. A slow piano, and drummer Gene Hoglan is everywhere. If you want to hear the future, listen to Gene Hoglan on “Christploitation”.

7. Krisiun, 'Southern Storm' (2008): “It’s simply great. This is one of my favorite underground bands. All the tracks are very, very good. They are a great example of what Heavy Metal is, or what I consider Heavy Metal.”

6. Type O Negative, 'October Rust' (1996): “They have something very appealing. I think they're one of those bands that you either love 120% or you kind of don't know. Kind of like Sabbath. Really loud, really powerful.”

5. Motörhead, 'The Wörld Is Yours' (2010): “I like a lot of Motörhead albums. The reason I chose this one was because it was one of the last great albums they made and it makes sense. The track “Brotherhood of Man” makes a lot of sense in today's society. It makes more sense today than ever. I play it all the time on my radio show.”

4. Judas Priest, 'The Best of Judas Priest: Living After Midnight' (1997): “Sabbath was who they were and Judas Priest was right there beside them. They were making their music, them and Iron Maiden. Bands that built themselves up, have soul, know who they are. And they know what Metal is. They understand the basics, the primitive Metal.”

3. Slipknot, '.5: The Gray Chapter' (2014): “There are some very hardcore lyrics on this album. I'm not saying they didn't have them before, they've always been pretty hardcore, but that's what attracted me, that's what made me decide on it. And everyone plays very well on this album.”

2. Metallica, 'Metallica' (1991): “The Black Album is very good to listen to for me, it's good for the ear, for the heart, it was good at the time. I felt grateful that this album came out because it seemed like a new path, because I felt there was a gap since the release of Heaven and Hell. Some things had happened, but I couldn't get excited about anything during that period. So when the Black Album came out, it reunited me with Metal. So it's very important to me. I love all the tracks.”

1. Black Sabbath, 'Master of Reality' (1971): “I like all the Sabbath albums I’ve done, but I especially like Master of Reality. I liked it because the band was already on the road, already a touring band. We hadn’t been off the road for a long time and we’d matured a lot. I’m not saying the other two – Black Sabbath and Paranoid – weren’t mature. I think they were, actually. But there’s something about Master. There’s something different about it. It’s always been one of my favorites. I really like this album a lot.”
