Bill Crook , former bassist for Spiritbox who was in the band from 2018 to 2022, has died.

The musician contributed to the making of the band's first album, Eternal Blue , released in 2021.

The news was given last Wednesday, the 24th, by his former bandmate Kai Turmann , who played alongside Crook in the band A Textbook Tragedy .

The Instagram post reads: “I have absolutely devastating news to share. I am deeply saddened to say that our dear friend Bill Crook has passed away. He was a friend to many, and a dear friend to me since we were children.”

Bill was, and is, loved by many people, and I am so sorry to have to share this devastating news with you. There will be many words and many tears, but for now I just need to deliver the terrible news. I am so sorry. I love you all. I love you, Bill.”

Spiritbox's record label, Pale Chord, also commented on the event on X , formerly Twitter: "Please give the band and members time and space to process their loss. RIP Bill."
