The album is the band's first acoustic recording.

Scottish band Biffy Clyro have released their new album MTV Unplugged: Live at Roundhouse London on streaming platforms and in physical format (CD and DVD). This is the band's first acoustic recording, following their previous release of a cover of their hit song "Black Chandelier" .

Recorded in November 2017 at the iconic Roundhouse music venue in London, England, the performance marks the return of the UK's MTV Unplugged Oasis , Paul McCartney , Sting , Eric Clapton , and others.

The new work showcases a lighter interpretation of the songs without sacrificing the intensity and power of the band's compositions. As part of the setlist, other hits such as "Machines," "Many of Horror," "Bubbles," and "The Captain" also received acoustic versions.

The project also includes a cover of the Beach Boys and a new original song by Biffy Clyro, "Different Kind of Love," which is expected to be part of the group's next studio album. While a release date is still pending, the album is expected to arrive later this year.
