Witnessing rock bands expanding their horizons and performing covers of other genres is nothing new; however, nobody saw Biffy Clyro doing their own version of the controversial hit "WAP" by American rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion .
With alterations to the lyrics to include the band's nickname "Biff," riffs, and even attempting (without much success) the artists' fast and sharp verses, the cover took place in the BBC Live Lounge , known as a frequent space for artists to perform a more acoustic and intimate version of their songs, and to pay homage to the art of other singers.
Biffy Clyro's new album, A Celebration Of Endings , recently reached #1 on the UK charts. Will this cover do as well as the album, or would it have been better to keep it among friends?
Check out the cover below, and the original version of "WAP".
