Tobias Sammet makes a video announcement
Tobias Sammet, the mastermind behind the Avantasia project, announced that Biff Byford of Saxon is confirmed to participate in the upcoming album, "The Mystery of Time". The announcement was made via a video recorded in a studio in Brighton (see below).
In addition to the Saxon frontman, the CD will feature appearances by Bruce Kulick, former guitarist of KISS, and Russell Gilbrook of Uriah Heep.
The album is being produced by Sascha Paeth, who has worked on the project several times before. It is expected to be released in March 2013.
Brazilian headbangers will be able to see Biff Byford live at a confirmed show in São Paulo on March 26, 2013.
