Best of Blues and Rock festival , which recently confirmed its 12th edition for this year with Dave Matthews Band as headliner, now announces British musician Richard Ashcroft as its second international act for June 7th (Saturday) and 8th (Sunday).

Born in Wigan, England, Ashcroft first came to attention with The Verve , a band he founded in 1989, with whom he released one of the biggest albums of the time, titled Urban Hymns . The album is full of classics such as "The Drugs Don't Work", "Bittersweet Symphony", "Lucky Man" and "Sonnet".
Aside from The Verve, Richard Ashcroft has released five top 5 solo albums on the British charts, including his debut album, Alone With Everybody . His most recent work, Acoustic Hymns , was released in 2022 and reached number two on the UK album chart.
Another confirmed act is Barão Vermelho . The group will perform on Sunday, June 8th. On that occasion, the group will present their "Do Tamanho da Vida" , launched in 2024.
For the past eight years, the Rio de Janeiro-based quartet has consisted of two of its founders: Guto Goffi (drums) and Maurício Barros (keyboards and vocals), as well as Fernando Magalhães (guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals), and Rodrigo Suricato (vocals, guitar and acoustic guitars).
