Behemoth 's first album in three years is on the way, and is expected to be released in the second half of 2021, according to news about the extension of the partnership between the band and the record label Nuclear Blast .

“It’s a great pleasure to extend our partnership for the worldwide release of Behemoth’s upcoming studio albums,” says Nuclear Blast Europe’s Head of A&R, Jens Prueter , in a press release. “Their 30-year journey hasn’t reached its peak yet, and we are more than proud to help them on their path to becoming not only the biggest extreme metal band, but also one of the most exciting rock bands of the next decade. There are only a few bands that have the vision and the will to dominate the music scene.”

The announcement of the successor to I Loved You At Your Darkest comes amid controversy involving the frontman , Nergal , who is being accused of "offending religious feelings" after posting a photo of himself stepping on an image of the Virgin Mary in 2019, which could land him in prison for two years.
