Behemoth announces the release of a commemorative show, 'XXX Ov Blasphemy'

One of the giants of Polish black metal, Behemoth , has announced the release of the band's anniversary celebration show, XXX Ov Blasphemy , which was originally streamed in 2021.

The performance spanned the band's entire career, having been filmed in three different locations and lasting 90 minutes, divided into 3 acts. The setlist was also special, featuring several tracks that are fan favorites and others that Behemoth has rarely played live.

The performance was a milestone for the band, who delivered a spectacular show with incredible sets, lighting, and sound during the pandemic. Now, XXX Ov Blasphemy will be officially released on October 25, 2024, as a three-CD + Blu-ray, three LPs, and digitally via Nuclear Blast Records .

Guitarist and band leader Adam “Nergal” Darski commented (via Blabbermouth ) that this show brought together everything Behemoth symbolizes: “This project embodies the Behemoth mantra – connecting the ancients with the modern era by building a bridge through each decade. Join us in this celebration of black metal and profane worship, as we continue to outlive Jesus Christ himself!”

To complete the announcement, the band released the music video for "Cursed Angel of Doom," a track that originally appeared on Behemoth's first demo, Endless Damnation , from 1992.

Regarding the song, Nergal also comments on its importance to the band: “We are very pleased to highlight 'Cursed Angel Of Doom', the track that started it all. It signifies the beginning of an incredibly inspiring artistic journey that changed our lives forever. Legions – we hope you enjoy it,” he concludes.
