Guitarist Zakk Wylde Ozzy Osbourne 's longtime collaborator since the album No Rest for the Wicked (1988), revealed that he and the singer were planning a new album before Ozzy's passing in July 2025.

In a recent interview with NJ.com , Wylde said that Ozzy had texted him with ideas for this new album: “Zakk, let’s record another album. Because I loved when you were in your Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd , when we did No More Tears . It’s heavy, but it’s more melodic, it’s not too heavy. So I said, ‘Okay, Oz, whatever you want.’”

The guitarist also said that, when performing Ozzy's final show, Back To The Beginning , he had in mind that there would be a sequel: "I simply thought we would do the show, and then, who knows?"

Wylde feels grateful that Ozzy managed to complete several projects before passing away: “We did the show, he ended up finishing his book [ Last Rites ] , they made the documentary [ Ozzy: No Escape From Now and Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home ]. He finished everything he had to do and then said, 'Okay, I'm done';

In 2026, Wylde and his band , Black Label Society, will land in Brazil to perform at Bangers Open Air . The show takes place on April 25th. Tickets and more information here .
