Yesterday is the new film by director Danny Boyle.
During a relatively short 10-year career, the Beatles created more iconic songs than most bands. But what if you woke up in a world where John, Paul, George , and Ringo never existed? Nobody would know the band or their classic songs, only you. That's what happens in the new film Yesterday .
Danny Boyle ( Slumdog Millionaire , Trainspotting ) is the director and Richard Curtis ( The Boat That Rocked ) is the screenwriter. The film establishes a world in which musician Jack Malik is about to give up on his dreams. His career as a singer and songwriter never took off. Until he suffers a bus accident during a blackout that erases the Beatles from the world's existence.
The cast includes Himesh Patel, Lily James, Kaye McKinnon, Ana de Armas , and Ed Sheeran playing himself.
