The supergroup BEAT , formed by Adrian Belew and Tony Levin ( King Crimson ), Steve Vai and Danny Carey ( Tool ), will perform a single show in Brazil on May 9th at Espaço Unimed in São Paulo.
The quartet's proposal is ambitious: to revisit live, with new arrangements and a collaborative spirit, the trilogy of albums released by King Crimson in the 80s – Discipline (1981), Beat (1982) and Three of a Perfect Pair (1984). The initiative, which has the public support of Robert Fripp , promises to thrill both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners.
For Adrian Belew, it's about "bringing back timeless, complex, and fierce music." Steve Vai describes the opportunity as an "extraordinary privilege" and affirms that he will do everything possible to honor Fripp's genius. Danny Carey and Tony Levin also celebrate the encounter as a unique experience – both for the musicians and the audience.
The show is a production of Mercury Concerts , responsible for touring major names in world rock in Brazil.
