Speaking about the song, vocalist Caleb Shomo said, “I couldn’t think of anything to write, so I started thinking, ‘Why am I tired of everything in life?’ and then I started writing.” The song features a garage rock-inspired sound that the band blended with some pop elements in the vocals.
The track is part of the album Below , which will be released on June 25th. The group has already released some new material from the album, in addition to "Fed Up" itself, such as "Hell Of It," "Devastation," and "The Past is Dead."
