Beartooth releases “Might Love Myself” with a positive message and new visual identity.

The band also announced their new album, 'The Surface', which deals with themes of mental health and self-love.

The rock band Beartooth has just released their new single “Might Love Myself”, accompanied by a music video.

The track will be on the group's fifth album, The Surface , scheduled for release on October 13th. The project is a personal and powerful journey for vocalist Caleb Shomo , who is known for sharing fears and traumas in his music, but demonstrates an optimistic perspective in this new phase.

“The entire Beartooth discography is a portrait of my emotional state over the years, where I talk about depression and self-loathing. It’s been difficult to understand why I’ve felt this way for so long. During the pandemic, I faced two paths: continue down the path of self-destruction with the realities of my mental health, or choose to do the necessary work to maintain a healthier relationship with myself, no matter how difficult or painful it may be,” says Shomo.

The band, which boasts over 1 billion streams across platforms, 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and 800,000 records sold, presents in its new studio album the beginning of a new chapter for its frontman. Shomo assures that he is focused on health, self-love, positivity, understanding, hard work, and second chances. The Surface offers a vision of making peace with life and living it fulfillingly, and will also include the previously released tracks “Riptide” and “Sunshine!”

“Choosing to put my own health (mental and physical) as the highest priority in my life was the only path I found to self-love. This helped me realize what I am capable of, how strong I am, and that progress is more important than any immediate solution to my emotions. This song is about the first moment I realized that something was changing significantly in my life,” shares the vocalist.

“Might Love Myself” is available on all streaming platforms via Red Bull Records .
