Red Hot Chili Peppers is the first rock musical act to be nominated for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) .
The band returns to the event's stage after 23 years to promote the album Unlimited Love . The group's last performance at the event was in 1999, when they were nominated for Rock Single of the Year Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Burna Boy , and Rauw Alejandro have also been confirmed to perform .
The BBMAs event will be held on May 15th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will be broadcast on NBC starting at 9 PM (Brasilia time).
