Finnish power metal band Battle Beast Noora Louhimo 's departure last Monday, December 15th, the group revealed this Tuesday, the 16th, the name of the singer who will now take over the vocals: Brazilian Marina La Torraca .

The change marks a new chapter in the band's history, concluding a 13-year cycle and projecting a renewed future within the international metal scene.

The choice of Marina La Torraca represents a decisive moment for Battle Beast. After more than a decade alongside Noora Louhimo, the band is betting on a vocalist already established in modern metal.

With worldwide recognition for her work with Phantom Elite and Exit Eden , as well as numerous vocal collaborations, Marina reinforces the technical quality of Battle Beast and expands the Latin presence in international metal, highlighting the universality of the genre.

Marina La Torraca comments on the invitation and the challenge

In her first official statement as a member of Battle Beast, Marina couldn't hide her excitement when talking about the invitation. According to the singer, the news came unexpectedly.

“When I first saw an email with Battle Beast and my name in the subject line, I honestly thought it was a mistake,” she revealed. “But as soon as I opened it, I couldn’t be happier. It’s an incredible honor to be part of this new chapter and I’m deeply grateful for the band’s trust and support.”

The vocalist also acknowledged the weight of succeeding one of the most distinctive voices in current power metal.

"Is it a little daunting to follow in the footsteps of a vocal legend like Noora Louhimo? Absolutely. But it's also extremely exciting."

Marina La Torraca's official stage debut with Battle Beast is scheduled. The first major test will take place in March 2026, during the " Far East & Down Under " , which will visit countries in Asia and Oceania.

According to the band themselves, the tour will be a true adventure through "exotic territories." Strategically, starting this new phase outside of Europe could be positive, allowing the band and vocalist to develop live chemistry before facing the demanding European audience.

Furthermore, this approach offers Marina a natural period of adaptation to the group dynamics.

Noora Louhimo's legacy in Battle Beast

Noora Louhimo's departure marks the end of a historic era for Battle Beast. For 13 years, the vocalist participated in the recording of six studio albums, helping to shape the band's sonic identity and winning over fans around the world with her powerful vocals and stage presence.

Louhimo's final work, Steelbound , was released in October 2025 by Nuclear Blast Records and brought the cycle to a memorable close. The European tour ended in December with a historic show at the Inselpark Arena in Hamburg, considered the band's biggest solo show in Germany to date.

Noora Louhimo's decision stemmed from her desire to dedicate herself fully to her solo career, something incompatible with Battle Beast's intense schedule. The band declared their full support for her choice and reinforced that the bond built over the years remains intact.

“For 13 years I was able to grow, learn, develop and explore with Battle Beast who I am as a musician and as a person,” said Noora.
“Now my heart yearns for new adventures, flying with my own wings towards my dreams.”
