Barão Vermelho announced this Friday, the 12th, their tour Barão Vermelho Encontro – Pro Mundo Inteiro Acordar with two confirmed dates. Rio de Janeiro (Farmasi Arena), on April 30th and in São Paulo (Allianz Parque) on May 23rd.
The performances reunite the original lineup, Roberto Frejat, Guto Goffi, Mauricio Barros, and Dé Palmeira , and feature a special appearance by Ney Matogrosso . Pre-sale for Itaú customers begins on December 12th at 3 PM, with a 15% discount, while general sales open at noon on the 15th via the Eventim website.
The new tour celebrates the legacy of one of the most influential bands in Brazilian rock, whose debut, back in the 1980s, was described by Ezequiel Neves Cazuza 's incendiary poetry and a unique fusion of references, from Frejat's blues to Dé Palmeira's MPB, passing through Mauricio and Guto's rock, Barão Vermelho helped shape the identity of Brazilian rock. This historic reunion seeks to revive that transformative energy, marking a symbolic return for multiple generations who grew up under the power of their lyrics and performances.
