Another highly anticipated moment is the reunion of Angra with the members from the Rebirth era. Beginning in 2001, the "New Era" phase was a major overhaul following the departure of André Matos, Luis Mariutti , and Ricardo Confessori. The renewed lineup featured Edu Falaschi (vocals), Aquiles Priester (drums), and Felipe Andreoli (bass), alongside founders Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt. The band's legacy gains a new chapter. Under the leadership of Jeff Loomis and Van Williams, Nevermore has resurfaced with a powerful lineup: Jack Cattoi on guitars, Semir Özerkan on bass, and Berzan Önen on vocals. The group's return comes after more than a decade away from the stage, representing a fresh start after the death of former vocalist Warrel Dane, a central figure in the band's history. Formed in 1992, when vocalist Warrel Dane, bassist Jim Sheppard, and guitarist Jeff Loomis ended their previous band, Sanctuary, Nevermore gained recognition for its innovative sound and remained active until Dane's death in 2017.

Primal Fear

Primal Fear has announced on their social media that bassist Mat Sinner will not participate in the band's upcoming shows in Argentina and Brazil due to health reasons. Mat suffered a serious cut on his right leg after a fight in London, which led to complications and a risk of infection. In this case, Primal Fear will perform at Bangers Open Air with Dirk Schlächter, bassist of Gamma Ray.

Evergrey announced in early April the departure of guitarist Henrik Danhage after 21 years of intermittent collaboration. Subsequently, the band confirmed Stephen Platt, from Scar Symmetry – who had already toured with Evergrey as a supporting guitarist in 2025 – as their new guitarist. In addition to Stephen, the lineup for Bangers Open Air includes Tom S. Englund (Vocals and Guitar), Johan Niemann (Bass), Rikard Zander (Keyboards), and Jonas Ekdahl (Drums).

Lucifer

Lucifer returns to Brazil for its third and most extensive tour of South America, participating in Bangers Open Air. After performances in 2022 and 2024, the German band (based in Sweden) will debut its new lineup in South America.

Completely revamped, vocalist and founder Johana Platow returns with a band formed mostly by women, now featuring guitarists Rosalie Cunningham and Coralie Baier, bassist Claudia González Díaz , and drummer Kevin Kuhn

In an interview with Acesso Music, Johana explained: “I’ve never had as much fun backstage and on stage as I do with these girls. It’s the honest truth. For a long time, I was the only woman on tour. I grew up in a metal scene where there were few of us, and although that’s changing, it’s powerful to do this with other people who share the same biological experiences and struggles.”
