One of the most anticipated moments for metal fans in Brazil has finally arrived: Bangers Open Air 2026.The festival will take place at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo this weekend, on the 25th and 26th. Last tickets available at Clube do Ingresso.

Over two days, there will be shows by major international names such as Black Label Society, Arch Enemy, Within Temptation, Smith/Kotzen, In Flames, Jinjer,Winger, Primal Fear, among others. This edition will also feature the members of Angra 's New Era lineup in a historic reunion performance that will close the festival this year. With that in mind, Wikimetal has put together four essential tips for those attending the event to make the most of it.

Plan the class schedule

Bangers Open Air 2026 is divided into two areas of the Memorial connected by a walkway that crosses Avenida Mário de Andrade, as the shows take place on four simultaneous stages: Hot, Ice, Sun, and Waves (located inside the Simón Bolívar Auditorium). Therefore, fans will need two essential items: the official map and the schedule. Because of this, getting around and planning within the festival is crucial.

The golden tip is to make a list of the shows that are "non-negotiable" and, if necessary, head to the other performance at least 15 to 20 minutes in advance, since the flow of people crossing simultaneously from one side to the other can make the crossing slower than usual.

Balancing the headbanger look with comfortable clothing

Every fan wants to dress the part with a leather jacket, boots, stylish belts, and other accessories, after all, they're going to a metal festival. However, for a 12-hour marathon of shows, comfort and well-being need to be priorities. The main tip is to choose comfortable shoes and, if possible, use orthopedic and anatomical insoles. For clothing, the ideal is to prioritize pieces that don't restrict your movements and that don't weigh you down throughout the day. Wearing pants or shorts with zippered pockets can help protect your cell phone and personal documents during mosh pits and while walking around the event.

Another point to consider is the weather. As it's autumn, the sun is usually strong during the day, but the temperature becomes milder as night falls. The ideal option is to wear your favorite band's t-shirt, but don't forget a jacket or sweatshirt that you can tie around your waist. Finally, don't forget sunscreen and to stay hydrated, as the festival will have hydration stations scattered throughout the venue.

How to get to Bangers Open Air 2026

Located in Barra Funda, the Memorial is easily accessible and is next to the Palmeiras-Barra Funda Station. It serves Metro Line 3-Red, TIC Trens Line 7-Ruby, ViaMobilidade Line 8-Diamond, and CPTM Lines 10-Turquoise, 11-Coral, and 13-Jade. The complex also has a bus terminal, served by SPTrans, EMTU, and interstate buses arriving from all states of Brazil. If fans choose public transport, it is recommended to purchase return tickets in advance, but if this is not possible, the station accepts contactless payments with credit and debit cards directly at its turnstiles.

For those wishing to go by car, the venue does not have parking, but there are private options on nearby streets and at the terminal itself, although prices are expected to be high as it is a large event. There is also the possibility of parking at more distant locations and walking to the festival. Ride-sharing apps are another option, but attendees should be aware that dynamic pricing will cause fares to increase after the event ends.

Signing sessions

As usual, one of the most anticipated moments are the famous autograph sessions with some of the bands on the lineup, which are free and included with all festival ticket options. Because this is a highly sought-after activity, anyone wishing to participate should pay attention to the official rules provided by the event.

Tickets must be collected in person at the activity area between 12:15 PM and 1:15 PM each day. Each fan can participate in up to two 30-minute sessions, limited to 100 people. Those interested must arrive 10 minutes in advance and bring only one item to be autographed. Photos with the bands will only be taken in groups, and people with disabilities have full priority and do not need to obtain a ticket. The organization will release access to the waiting list in cases of cancellations or no-shows.

Saturday's sessions will feature the following names: Killswitch Engage, Korzus, Lucifer, Evergrey, Crypta, Black Label Society, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Feuerschwanz, Jinjer, Onslaught, Seven Spires, Tankard , and Hangar. Sunday's lineup includes Project46, Visions of Atlantis, Primal Fear, Within Temptation, Nevermore, Roy Khan, Dirkschneider, Amaranthe, Crazy Lixx, Winger, Noturnall, Ambush , and Krisiun.
