Expressions of support came from Twitter and Facebook
With Randy Blythe's trial concluded and the vocalist cleared of charges, a wave of support for him manifested intensely yesterday morning.
On Twitter, the bands Pantera and Overkill, bassist Duff McKagan, and vocalist David Drainman sent messages congratulating Blythe on the court's decision. McKagan wrote, "The circumstances were brutal, and you were as dignified as you could be."
Through Facebook, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil and Robb Flynn of Machine Head wrote supportive messages to Randy, congratulating him and praising the vocalist for his courage during this time. Drummer Vinnie Paul also wrote that "justice prevailed.".
His bandmate, Mark Morton, expressed happiness for his friend but said that the day is not for celebrations: "We still think about Daniel every day."
