The Oxigênio Festival's curatorial team will select the bands for the next phase, and the final result will be determined by popular vote
Applications to compete for one of the three opening band spots at the Oxigênio Festival 2019 , presented by Vans, close this Friday, August 23rd, at midnight. Registration is exclusively through the website www.oxigeniofestival.com.br, and it's super quick to do, it doesn't even take a minute. This is your band's chance to share the stage with renowned and influential names in Brazilian music. This year's edition takes place between September 13th and 15th in São Paulo, at Via Matarazzo.
To date, more than 200 bands have already registered. At the end of this registration phase, the Vans presents Oxigênio Festival curation team will select the most exciting bands to participate in a popular vote, which will take place on the event's official website. The three bands with the most votes will win.
And the production confirms: Ratos de Porão is confirmed for the 2019 edition! The iconic Brazilian punk rock band – undoubtedly also international – will be at the Vans presents Oxigênio Festival as a trio, with Jão on vocals, while João Gordo will be resting until the end of the year for health reasons. Get well soon, Gordo! It will be a good opportunity to see Ratos with their 'reserve' lineup, which never disappoints.
Recently, two more important bands were added to the lineup: Dead Fish , who will perform on Friday (September 13th) with a special setlist, and Braza , formed by three of the four members of the beloved Forfun , scheduled to close the night on Saturday (September 14th). Now, there are 35 bands!
