Korn bassist Fieldy spoke in an interview with an American radio station about Tye Trujillo's performance as his replacement on the South American tour. Robert Trujillo's son is only 12 years old and played with the band, including during the shows in Brazil.

“Twelve years and he killed it. They told me he was amazing. He’s a little living rockstar ,” said Fieldy. Asked if he advised the replacement in any way, Fieldy said: “I didn’t need to say anything. His dad, Robert from Metallica, was with him the whole time helping out. He went on tour with him, so it was incredible.”

In an interview on Altas Horas , Robert Trujillo said that his son's interest in music came naturally:

“I never forced him to play an instrument. I always said that if he chose that, I would support him. In the beginning, he played drums. It’s beautiful because he’s 12 years old and still acts like a 12-year-old boy, but when it comes to music, he’s very focused. And with Korn, it’s funny because I didn’t teach him anything, I was very busy. But he’s taking this opportunity very seriously.”
