Baby Metallica: See the full call from James Hetfield to the child's family.

After Metallica 's show in Curitiba on May 7th, James Hetfield learned of the news and made a point of calling the child's family.

Little Luan James , son of tattoo artist Joice and her husband, Jaime Figueiró , was born at the Major Antônio Couto Pereira stadium itself, to the sound of "Enter Sandman," the very last song of the show that night. The family made headlines around the world and decided to honor the band's vocalist by naming the child after him, without changing their plans to call him Luan.

Despite the language barrier, the couple managed to prepare answers to possible questions from James and tell the Metallica frontman about the birth of their baby. 

On the day of the phone call , which happened the following Tuesday, the 10th, the plans were to name the little one “Luan Cliff”, in homage to the late bassist Cliff Burton , but they changed their minds in the official registration. “It would be a way to honor the band as a whole, but (…) because of the pain and longing that the name must bring to the members and because of the latest events in this crazy story, we decided to choose another option,” Joice explained on social media.
