"Luan James Figueiró": Baby born at Metallica concert receives the name of the vocalist.

The name Luan was reportedly kept at James Hetfield's own request in a phone call.

In just one week of life, little Luan has already lived a lot of stories to tell. The baby was born during a Metallica in Curitiba , to the sound of "Enter Sandman," and his parents, Joice and Jaime Figueiró , received a call from James Hetfield to congratulate them.

Although his first name had already been revealed, Luan was officially registered at the registry office this past weekend, the 14th, and received a second name in homage to the Metallica vocalist. Now, he is Luan James Figueiró .

On her Instagram , Joice said she received many requests to change her son's name because Luan would be reminiscent of the name of the country singer Luan Santana . "All due respect to Luan Santana, but he didn't trademark the name," she wrote.

“When we received the call from James [Hetfield], one of the things he told us was about keeping the name we had chosen for our son, because although Luan already has a great story to tell, he needed to have his own name, his own journey, and make his own way, not just be overshadowed by his own birth,” she revealed.

“But we still felt we needed to honor that whole story somehow. So after James' call, where he was incredibly kind to call us, completely sensitive, concerned about us, gave us advice, shared his experiences, it became very clear to us that the name James should be present in Luan's name,” she concludes.

Joice also commented that the choice "seemed like the right one to make" because "James" would be the English equivalent of the name "Jaime," which is the name of Luan's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
