Axl Rose justifies his political opinions on US Independence Day; see

“I am nobody, I am just a citizen who, like everyone else, has my own opinions,” Rose wrote

Last Saturday, July 4th, was Independence Day in the United States, and for Axl Rose , the holiday was about less fireworks and more criticism of the country's current government.

“My disdain for our current government and what I consider its threat to democracy is no secret,” Rose began. “Generally, my posts regarding current events, politics, or social issues stem from a feeling of outrage, obligation, and responsibility to say something at times when I feel complicit (as opposed to a desire for attention or self-promotion),” she continued.

“I am nobody, I am just a citizen who, like everyone else, has my own opinions and I believe in my heart that, in the end, I want what is best not only for [our] country, but for humanity, wildlife and the environment, as opposed to fascism of the right, left or any other kind, at least in this country which is free to disagree.”

The day before the post, Axl expressed his outrage at Jeromy Adams , who holds the top position in the American healthcare system, because the politician had not commented on whether or not the population should participate in Fourth of July celebrations, even in the midst of a pandemic. The singer recommended that Adams resign, because "America deserves better."
