This photo is from 2010.
The website TorrentFreak revealed that vocalist Axl Rose has filed several official requests to have a photo of himself from 2010 removed from Google. All the requests refer to an unflattering image of the artist, which ended up creating a 'Fat Axl' meme (image above).

The documents are based on image rights. According to the requests, the photographer does not own the copyright to the image and Axl Rose did not authorize its use.

So far, Google has not removed the photos, possibly because it credits the image rights to Boris Minkevich, the photographer, who doesn't remember if he signed a contract at the 2010 show.
