To commemorate their 25-year career, Avenged Sevenfold launched "The Museum," a virtual space showcasing the band's history through an immersive experience in the Fortnite game.
In the video description, A7X revealed that they aimed to celebrate the date with something unprecedented, grand, and capable of reaching the largest possible number of fans.
“25 years have flown by. We wanted to do something to mark the occasion of our vast history, not just looking back, but also forward. We started thinking about a kind of gallery or museum to display art and eras of the band.”
Aiming to attract new players to the game through the project, the band stated that anyone interested in participating in the digital immersion—even those without experience on the platform—is welcome.
“You don’t need to be a gamer to have fun. The experience is more casual, so with a little problem-solving, you can get through it. […] You can control your own narrative, as well as uncover hidden meanings, recordings, and easter eggs.”
The nostalgia present in "The Museum" engages fans like an open letter from the members of Avenged Sevenfold, brimming with pride in the personal and professional growth they've achieved over these 25 years.
"We hope you enjoy taking a trip down memory lane with us."

In addition to the band's musical presence, vocalist M.Shadows was invited to be a character in the "Blackout" mode of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018).
"It was a great moment in my career, as I've always enjoyed the game and so have my children," the musician revealed.
