Avenged Sevenfold released the music video for "Mattel" last Thursday, the 21st, from the album Life Is But A Dream , which was released in June of this year.
The new video stars Barbie in a chaotic sequence directed by Zoe Katz . Mattel, the company that invented the doll, presents Barbie in stop-motion animation – including Barbies on fire!
Days before releasing the music video, the group posted a series of mysterious videos made with Barbie dolls on their YouTube channel. Check them out here.
Written and recorded over four years, Life Is But a Dream was inspired by the philosophy of Albert Camus . Therefore, the lyrics are rooted in existentialism and the absurd.
