The band's eighth album marks their return after seven years since 'The Stage'

Avenged Sevenfold is back after a long period away from the stage and without new music. The band releases this Friday, the 2nd, the highly anticipated eighth studio album, Life is But a Dream , successor to The Stage (2016).

The new album marks a new sonic era for A7x, but seeks to maintain the DNA of what fans already know as Avenged Sevenfold, as bassist Johnny Christ in an interview with Wikimetal .

“We knew that fans would eventually understand and love this song too because it’s a rollercoaster. But that’s who we are. I mean, that’s how we’ve always been, right? So, I think it’s another great representation of us, once again, taking that creative freedom that our fans have given us to the next level with each release,” he said, explaining the surprising single “We Love You.”.

Listen to Life is But a Dream on all major streaming platforms.
