Avenged Sevenfold has just achieved the necessary milestone for RIAA gold certification with the single "Unholy Confessions" and platinum with the album Waking the Fallen.
The news was released last Monday, the 22nd, and celebrates the album released in August 2003. The album sold half a million copies by 2009, earning the band a gold certification; now, the album has surpassed one million copies sold, achieving platinum certification.
“Unholy Confessions”, from the album Waking the Fallen , gave the band greater recognition by earning a gold certification for selling half a million copies digitally.
The band is currently recording their eighth album, with no release date yet announced.
