The band Avenged Sevenfold has confirmed that they will release an album in 2023. Searching their website reveals a message that reads: “Official Avenged Sevenfold website. New album available in 2023.” This will be the band's first release in six years, since The Stage (2016).

Drummer Brooks Wackerman reported in September via an Instagram post that the album was finished, without giving further details. However, recently, the band has been sending out merchandise to some fans that includes teasers for the upcoming album. One fan, for example, received a card with the Avenged Sevenfold logo next to an hourglass. On the back was written the year 2023 along with an illustration of flowers.

An merchandise sticker in the background of the video caught the attention of vocalist M. Shadows, who mysteriously responded on the social media platform where he was tagged: "It's a beautiful morning, it's a beautiful day...everyone is smiling in a beautiful way."

It is unknown whether the fan purchased the package independently or if it was sent to members of the Deathbats Club . The band's website is normally open to the public, but only exclusive members have access to "hidden secrets."
