The band recently contributed music to the Call of Duty soundtrack.
The newest game in the Call of Duty franchise: Black Ops 4 – Operation Apocalypse Z Blackout has just been released. The fourth game in the Black Ops series, which began in 2010, is available for Playstation 4.
Avenged Sevenfold 's vocalist , M. Shadows , is one of the characters in the game. The musician revealed this news during a live stream hosted by the game's developer, Treyarch.
In the video, Shadows appeared extremely happy with the news, as he is "obsessed" with Call of Duty. He said the game helped him and the rest of the band overcome the death of Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan , Avenged Sevenfold's drummer, in 2009. Therefore, being a character in the game is a "career highlight." The character is expected to be released in the game within a month.
In September, Avenged Sevenfold released the Black Reign , featuring songs made exclusively for Black Ops 4. “We have a very deep relationship with Treyarch,” said M. Shadows. “We’re proud to be part of the family and we’re really excited for you to enjoy this next chapter and our contribution to it.”
