New Avenged Sevenfold music will be released in July
According to Avenged Sevenfold Johnny Christ , the band is currently putting the finishing touches on a new song that will be released in July.
Apparently, the track will appear in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which will be released by Activision on October 12th. The band has already contributed to previous installments of the game, and even appears (virtually) in the second chapter, where they can be seen playing the song "Carry On" in an epilogue after the end credits.
“The [new] song is written,” Christ told HardDrive Radio during an interview at the Rock On The Range festival earlier this month.
“We’re recording it now. Then it will be mixed and mastered, and I believe that in July is when everyone will hear it for the first time. We don’t have a name for this song yet. […] It’s a fun song – a little different from what I think our fans would expect, but I think that also makes sense, because they expect craziness from us now.”.
The music for Call of Duty will be the band's first new material since releasing "Dose" last year, which originally appeared for the game Dungeon Hunter 5.
