Swedish band Avatar released the single "Valley of Disease" this Friday, the 23rd. The song will be part of their new album, which has yet to be named or have a release date announced.
The band, which was in Brazil earlier this month to open for Iron Maiden headlining a European tour, Avatar is working on promoting their ninth studio album.
Vocalist Johannes Eckerström spoke about the new album during a recent interview with Wikimetal , promising "the best album of his career" and mentioning that it is scheduled for release in early 2023.
“There is a disease, a stranger, and a harmful path,” he commented when talking about the single. “A twisted landscape untouched by the sun. I leave the rest to you or to me, but never both at the same time. You can only enter this place alone, and my path is not yours. Your secret is safe with me, but so is mine.”
