In an interview with the Vrotherhood , Johannes Eckerström, vocalist of Avatar, commented on the production of the new album, providing information about inspiration, musicality, and instruments used.

According to Johannes, the idea for the new album began in 2023, the year of the release of Dance Devil Dance , his last album, which premiered on February 17 of that year.

The vocalist emphasizes that dreams and inspirations from the subconscious are more present in this work compared to previous ones, bringing an intrinsic introspection.

Johannes explains: “Some tracks are noticeably story-driven, like a ghost story or something like that. Some others are introspective, reflective, in a way that I believe I would have been incapable of doing before.”

Regarding the sound, he highlights his vocal maturity compared to previous productions, being able to explore other tones within his vocal range. Johannes cites Rob Halford as a vocal reference for the new tracks, also mentioning the use of piano and emphasizing the melodic aspect of the guitars.

The singer elaborates: “These are possibly the most melodic songs we’ve ever done, especially vocally speaking. Because the guitars have always been melodic. We also have some killer riffs, we like that. So, it’s something so multifaceted that it wouldn’t make sense in a band other than Avatar, but we managed to do it. I also play piano, so it was quite fun.”
