AVATAR releases this Friday, the 18th, the new single with music video “In the Airwaves”. The band, formed by vocalist Johannes Eckerström , guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström , bassist Henrik Sandelin and drummer John Alfredsson, has been growing more and more over the last few years.
Among the milestones of this journey is the acclaimed album Dance Devil Dance , released in 2023, which included the rock chart hit “The Dirt I'm Buried In”. The group now looks to an even more promising future with the release of their new music.
The band commented: “Avatar is defined by the challenges we set for ourselves. We are always striving for more and seeking new approaches. In this constant search for the next big step, we return to one of the most important aspects of metal: speed. This is the fastest song we've made in ages, and it feels great to push the engine to its limits again. In a way, it feels like a return to something. Enjoy our fury.”
Furthermore, tours alongside Iron Maiden and Metallica , including the band's biggest show ever in Mexico City.
