Adding even more to their bogged-down 2025, the group's vocalist, Johannes Eckerström, confirmed that the new studio album will be released later this year.
In an interview with Loudwire , the Avatar vocalist commented that he would like to evolve and go beyond his limitations. When asked when fans could expect to hear this "new sound," Johannes stated: "You can tell them that we're making new music."
The band was in Germany between January and February in the studio where they recorded their sixth album, Feathers & Flesh (2016). They also admit that, this being the group's tenth album, they feel a certain amount of pressure regarding it.
Although he cannot give a guaranteed date, Johannes confirms that the highly anticipated album will be released "later this year."
