AVATAR releases the new single “Crying Fire” this Friday, the 5th.
The track was originally written for the album Don't Go In The Forest (2025), released in October, but was intentionally held back by the band to be released at a more opportune moment.
“'Crying Fire' is very special to all of us. It was written and recorded as part of the Don't Go In The Forest. When making the final track selection for the album, this was an obvious choice. But then we started to wonder: What if we saved the best for later? What if we kept this gem away from the world for a while?”, explains vocalist Johannes Eckerström.
He continues: “Absolutely, it stands on its own. I hear a relentless storm of emotions. It hits me in a deeply hidden place, and I hope it does the same to you. I could say a lot about what the song means, but I’ve learned that sometimes it’s better to step back and simply let it be heard for what it is. The best I can say today is that it speaks of enduring pain and loving passionately.”
