Avantasia , the project of German musician Tobias Sammet , has revealed the release date for their 10th studio album, Here Be Dragons , which will be February 28, 2025. The work, which will also feature the group's new partnership with Napalm Records, promises a mix of epic choruses and symphonic metal elements, as well as new sounds.
The announcement also revealed the cover art, which was once again created by renowned British fantasy artist Rodney Matthews .
Lead singer Tobias Sammet stated that the album is the most cohesive and daring of the band's career. He highlighted the creative and carefree approach, which recaptures the spirit of their early years in the music scene.
“I created ten distinct tracks that came together as the most solid chapter in Avantasia's history. I'm full of energy and can't wait to share this work with the fans,” said Sammet.

Avantasia: Tours and new album
Here Be Dragons will be released shortly before the band's European tours, scheduled for March and April 2025. According to the German musician, the shows will feature the new repertoire, band classics and rarities, with a spectacular stage production.
Furthermore, Avantasia has also been confirmed as one of the headliners for the Bangers Open Air , which takes place between May 2nd and 4th, 2025, at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. Tickets are already available through Clube do Ingresso .
